Description
Blackcurrants (Cassis, ribes nigrum) are remarkably flavorful and fun to play with. They are ideal for mixing with honey wine and lambic, making it a more complex blend. After some experiments, Boerenerf achieved the best results with the Bentron variety. This blend of 6 and 1 year old honey wine and lambic has a firm structure and body due to the wood aging of the mead and lambic. Yet it remains fruity and refreshing, with a pronounced berry character.
